Paperchase: 'Stitched Up'
One of Paperchase's first new collections for 2014 that has caught my eye is 'Stitched Up'. It features bold animals such as an owl, a lion and a tortoise, juxtaposed with delicate butterflies and detailed, realistic rabbits which look like they are ink stamped. This range takes the woodland trend that is becoming a bit saturated, and brings it into the new year with a bolder sense of fun and sunshine colours. Perfect for children and the young adult alike; this is a fresh, joyful range which I'm sure will prove to be very popular.

Designer of the Day: Claire Owen
Claire Owen illustrations are feminine and charming with a soft, retro colour palette. I especially love her character work, which has abstract proportions giving them extra personality and a soft charm, without feeling juvenile. Claire is currently based as SNAP studios in Bristol, and has an impressive client list for someone so relatively early on in their career. Clients include Marks and Spencer, Time Out London, Urban Outfitters and Tigerprint. See more here.
