Liberty of London, at Christmas

Visitors to London in November/December: it is mandatory that you visit the infamous 'Liberty'. It stands just off Carnaby Street as a year-round beautiful landmark, but encompasses an added dose of magic as the Christmas season approaches.

The Christmas shop is a whole floor of the most delicate and ornate Christmas decorations. In addition to this, they showcase fantastic independent designers in clothing, stationery and even a whole room of beautifully patterned scarves. The jewellery section can also offer something more unique than your usual run-of-the-mill jewellers.

This post is not sponsored, unless you would like to sponsor me Mr Liberty? Sleep on it.

Textiles: Manly Beach, Australia

A recent trip to the other side of the globe proved colourful even on the rainiest of days. A surprise downpour whilst out in Manly Beach forced a quick dash into the nearest shop in an attempt to stay dry.

When life gives you rain, make rainbows... And that's exactly what this shop offered. Filled with brightly painted ceramics, whimsical characters on neon fuschia cushions and lovely contrasts of textiles, I wish I could have taken it all home.

Prizes (high fives) for anyone who recognises this place and knows the name?
